Die shortlist bestaat, naast het Franse \u2018Jasmine\u2019, uit Enzo D\u2019Al\u00f2\u2019s \u2018Pinocchio\u2019\u00a0en \u2018The Congress\u2019\u00a0van Ari Folman. In beide films speelde het Brusselse animatie- en productiehuis Walking The Dog van Eric Goossens en Anton Roebben een belangrijke rol.\u00a0D\u2019Al\u00f2\u2019s \u2018Pinocchio\u2019\u00a0is een coproductie tussen Itali\u00eb, Luxemburg, Frankrijk en Belgi\u00eb waarbij Walking The Dog als coproducent voor Vlaanderen optrad.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>De film is gebaseerd op het originele boek van Carlo Collodi en vertelt het bekende verhaal van de houtbewerker Giupetto die een pop uit hout snijdt om hem gezelschap te houden. \u2018Pinocchio\u2019\u00a0opende vorig jaar nog de Venice Days, was verder geselecteerd voor o.a. het filmfestival van Busan en Abu Dhabi en wist in maart dit jaar volle zalen te lokken tijdens Cartoon Movie, een van de meest vooraanstaande platformen voor coproductie binnen Europa.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 305px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cinevox.be\/nl\/pinocchio-en-the-congress-op-shortlist-european-film-awards\/unknown-10-5\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-46106\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"The Congress\" alt=\"The Congress\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cinevox.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2013\/09\/Unknown-102.jpeg\" width=\"305\" height=\"173\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Congress<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Walking The Dog stapte ook mee in het deels live action, deels geanimeerde verhaal van \u2018The Congress\u2019, geregisseerd door Ari Folman en met Entre Chien et Loup als Belgische coproducent. Daarbij was de Brusselse animatiestudio voornamelijk verantwoordelijk om de overgang van live action naar animatie in goede banen te leiden. Een viertal senior animatoren van het bedrijf reisden uiteindelijk ook af naar Isra\u00ebl om gedurende een drietal maanden verder te assisteren bij de film. \u2018The Congress\u2019\u00a0werd dit jaar gekozen als openingsfilm van de Quinzaine des R\u00e9alisateurs in Cannes.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 309px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cinevox.be\/nl\/pinocchio-en-the-congress-op-shortlist-european-film-awards\/jack-and-the-cuckoo-clock-heart\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-46107\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Jack and the Cuckoo-Clock Heart\" alt=\"Jack and the Cuckoo-Clock Heart\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cinevox.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2013\/09\/jack-and-the-cuckoo-clock-heart-480x270.jpg\" width=\"309\" height=\"175\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Jack and the Cuckoo-Clock Heart<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In 2000 richtten Anton Roebben en Eric Goossens in Brussel de onafhankelijke animatie- en productiestudio Walking The Dog op. Sindsdien werkte het duo mee aan tal van internationale animatiehoogvliegers zoals o.a. \u2018Les Triplettes de Belleville\u2019, \u2018Brendan, het geheim van Kells\u2019\u00a0en \u2018Een monster in Parijs\u2019. Walking The Dog werkt momenteel aan \u2018Jack and the Cuckoo-Clock Heart\u2019, een 3D animatiefilm in coproductie met het Franse power house EuropaCorp van Luc Besson. Walking The Dog opende\u00a0afgelopen zomer ook een tweede vestiging op de C-mine site in Genk.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Zowel \u2018Pinocchio\u2019, \u2018Brendan, het geheim van Kells\u2019\u00a0en \u2018Les Triplettes de Belleville\u2019\u00a0ontvingen steun van het VAF.\u00a0&#8216;Jack and The Cuckoo-Clock Heart&#8217;\u00a0kan rekenen op steun via Screen Flanders<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; BERLIJN\/BRUSSEL, 30 september 2013.
