De korte film<\/span> <em><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">\u2018Houses With Small Windows\u2019<\/span><\/em><\/strong> <strong><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\">van de Vlaams-Koerdische regisseur <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">B\u00fclent \u00d6zt\u00fcrk<\/span> heeft vanavond de Prijs voor de Beste Europese Kortfilm gewonnen op het Internationaal Filmfestival van Veneti\u00eb. Door de prijs is de film ook automatisch genomineerd voor de Europese Filmprijzen die jaarlijks door de European Film Academy (EFA) worden uitgereikt.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i>\u2018Houses With Small Windows\u2019<\/i>\u00a0is een krachtig en ingetogen portret van een eremoord in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cinevox.be\/nl\/44923\/unknown-14-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-44925\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-44925\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cinevox.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2013\/09\/Unknown-14.jpeg\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/welovecinema.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2013\/09\/Unknown-14.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/welovecinema.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2013\/09\/Unknown-14-200x113.jpeg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>de landelijke Koerdische streek in het zuidoosten van Turkije. De 22-jarige Dilan bekoopt de verboden liefde tussen haar en een jongeman uit een naburig dorp met haar leven, door toedoen van haar eigen broers. Maar zoals traditie het wil, moet de eremoord gecompenseerd worden. En zo valt er nog een slachtoffer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Met het verhaal kaart B\u00fclent \u00d6zt\u00fcrk een wijdverspreid fenomeen aan. Elk jaar sterven wereldwijd zo\u2019n 5.000 vrouwen als gevolg van een eremoord. In 2007 schreef hij zich in aan het RITS in Brussel en maakte daar de documentaire\u00a0<em><span style=\"color: #999999;\">\u2018Zaman Zaman\u2019<\/span><\/em>, <em><span style=\"color: #999999;\">\u2018Talking Stones of Bakacaik\u2019<\/span><\/em>.
