Nu telt hij echt mee. \u00a0Is er dan veel veranderd? \u00a0Is hij zelfverzekerder? \u00a0Meer op zijn gemak? \u00a0\u00a0De film deed het niet alleen geweldig in eigen land, ook in het buitenland presteerde hij goed. Bij de uitreiking van de Europese Filmprijzen won hij zelfs de publieksprijs. En hij won eveneens het Festival van Montreal. Maar ook buiten het festivalcircuit scoorde de film goed. In Frankrijk en Duitsland ging er een pak volk kijken en zelfs in Engeland kwam de film in het reguliere bioscoopcircuit uit.
