Vanaf 7 oktober in de zalen, en wij hebben de eerste trailer!<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"Hoofdtekst\"><i><span lang=\"NL\">Other Mommy<\/span><\/i> <span lang=\"NL\">is een productie van de iconische gruwelstudio <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">Blumhouse<\/span><span lang=\"NL\">, in samenwerking met<\/span><span lang=\"DE\"> James Wan (<\/span><i><span lang=\"EN-US\">Conjuring<\/span><\/i><span lang=\"FR\">,<\/span> <i><span lang=\"EN-US\">Insidious<\/span><\/i><span lang=\"FR\">) <\/span><span lang=\"NL\">en diens bedrijf<\/span> <span lang=\"DE\">Atomic Monster<\/span><span lang=\"NL\">.<\/span> <span lang=\"NL\">De film is een bewerking van de bestseller <\/span><i><span lang=\"EN-US\">Incidents Around the House<\/span><\/i><span lang=\"NL\">van de Amerikaanse schrijver<\/span><span lang=\"IT\"> Josh Malerman<\/span><span lang=\"NL\">. Die is vooral bekend van het fenomeen <\/span><i><span lang=\"DE\">Bird Box<\/span><\/i><span lang=\"NL\">, maar volgens kenners is <\/span><i><span lang=\"EN-US\">Incidents Around the House<\/span><\/i><span lang=\"NL\"> zijn meest angstaanjagende boek. Achter de camera vinden we Rob Savage, een Britse regisseur die dankzij ijzingwekkende films als <i>Host<\/i> en <i>The Boogeyman<\/i> binnen de kortste keren een ronkende naam is geworden binnen het horrorgenre.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"Hoofdtekst\"><span lang=\"NL\">In <i>Other Mommy<\/i> neemt Jessica Chastain een uitdagende dubbelrol voor haar rekening. Aan de ene kant speelt ze Ursula, moeder van de achtjarige Bela en getrouwd met Russ (rol van Jay Duplass). Dat huwelijk loopt echter niet zo vlot meer. Aan de andere kant neemt ze de gedaante aan van \u2018Other Mommy\u2019, een demonisch wezen dat tevoorschijn komt uit de kast van haar dochtertje. Dat wezen ziet er precies hetzelfde uit als Ursula maar heeft heel andere intenties: het dagelijkse leven van het gezin binnendringen. En dan is de vraag wie er precies opduikt met Ursula\u2019s gezicht. Zij wordt geconfronteerd met een wezen dat haar telkens opnieuw dezelfde verontrustende vraag stelt: \u201cMag ik in je hart komen?\u201d Intussen dreigt het gezin zelf onder te gaan. Naast Chastain, Duplass en Clark bestaat de rest van de cast onder meer uit <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">Arian Moayed<\/span><span lang=\"NL\"> (<i>Spider-Man: No Way Home<\/i>)<\/span><span lang=\"DE\">, Dichen Lachman<\/span><span lang=\"NL\"> (<i>Jurassic World Dominion<\/i>)<\/span><span lang=\"FR\"> e<\/span><span lang=\"NL\">n de legendarische<\/span><span lang=\"DA\"> Karen Allen<\/span><span lang=\"NL\"> (<i>Raiders of the Lost Ark<\/i>)<\/span><span lang=\"FR\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"Hoofdtekst\"><span lang=\"NL\">Chastain is lang geen nieuwkomer in het horrorgenre, want ze heeft al onder meer <i>Mama<\/i>, <i>Crimson Peak<\/i> en <i>It: Chapter 2<\/i> op haar cv. Met <i>Other Mommy<\/i> toont ze opnieuw dat ze een voorliefde heeft voor complexe griezelverhalen.
