Begin dit jaar ging documentaire in wereldpremi\u00e8re op de Berlinale, als onderdeel van de Shorts-competitie.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Marthe Peters won in 2023 de VAF Wildcard Documentaire\u00a0met haar KASK-afstudeerfilm <em>Kaalkapje<\/em>, die nadien ook geselecteerd werd voor het Internationaal Filmfestival van Berlijn en Future Frames in Karlovy Vary. Met haar VAF Wildcard realiseerde ze vervolgens\u00a0<em>Henry is a Girl Who Likes to Sleep<\/em>, die begin dit jaar\u00a0voor de Berlinale werd geselecteerd, opnieuw binnen de Shorts-competitie.<\/p>\n<p><em>Henry is a Girl Who Likes to Sleep<\/em> is een intieme, po\u00ebtische kortfilm. In een kleine binnenwereld, waar lichamen voortdurend hunkeren naar slaap, zoekt de maker in haar geliefde kat Henry iets zacht om in te wonen, een vachtje waarin ze zich zou kunnen terugtrekken. Tussen lakens en vlekjes ontstaat er een liefdesverklaring, een fragiele collage die de textuur van nabijheid, kwetsbaarheid en warmte traceert. De film is een ode aan onze gevangenen met vachtjes en aan de intieme ruimtes waarin we leren leven en rusten.<\/p>\n<p>De film is geschreven en geregisseerd door Marthe Peters. Marie Logie is producent voor Auguste Orts.<\/p>\n<p>Na de wereldpremi\u00e8re in Berlijn was <em>Henry is a Girl Who Likes to Sleep<\/em> o.a. ook al te zien op Go Short in Nijmegen en op het Festival Cinematografico in Montevideo.
