Zo presenteerde Bouli Lanners er in 1999 zijn eerste kortfilm <i>Travellinckx<\/i>, gevolgd door C\u00e9cile de France, die in 2000 de prijs voor beste vertolking won (<i>Le Dernier R\u00eave<\/i>). In 2004 stelde Micha\u00ebl Roskam er zijn eerste film in competitie voor (<i>Carlo<\/i>), en in 2014 werd Laura Wandels kortfilm (<i>Les corps \u00e9trangers<\/i>) geselecteerd voor Cannes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\">Meer recent kunnen we ook Delphine Girard (<i>Une S\u0153ur<\/i>), Val\u00e9ry Carnoy, wiens eerste langspeelfilm (<i>La Danse des Renards<\/i>) momenteel in de zalen draait, en Alice d\u2019Hauwe (<i>La moisson<\/i>), die recent werd bekroond met de prijs voor Beste fictiekortfilm bij de Magritte du Cin\u00e9ma, vermelden. Als kwaliteitslabel is de competitie sinds 2018 kwalificerend voor de Oscars\u00ae (zoals <i>I\u2019m Not a Robot<\/i>, bekroond met de Oscar voor Beste kortfilm in 2024), evenals voor de European Short Film Audience Award (<i>ESFAA<\/i>), die elk jaar de publieksprijs opneemt in zijn rondreis langs Europese festivals.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\">Van intieme drama\u2019s tot absurde komedies, en van maatschappelijk ge\u00ebngageerde documentaires tot eigenzinnige animaties. De Nationale Competitie biedt een overzicht van het beste wat de Belgische kortfilm te bieden heeft. Ze vormen tegelijk een goudmijn voor filmliefhebbers en een prestigieuze vitrine voor regisseurs, acteurs en filmploegen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\">Uit meer dan 370 ingezonden films werden uiteindelijk 41 werken geselecteerd, stuk voor stuk gedragen door een gedurfde blik en een rijke creativiteit. Van zee tot bergen, van Brussel tot Rio, per scooter of vrachtvliegtuig: deze selectie van 2026 belooft u mee te nemen en te raken.
