Eisenhower. <\/span><\/b><b><span lang=\"NL\">De film landt op 9 september in de zalen<\/span><\/b><b><span lang=\"RU\">!<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"Hoofdtekst\"><i><span lang=\"NL\">Pressure<\/span><\/i><span lang=\"NL\"> wordt niet alleen het verhaal van een cruciale veldslag maar ook van de meest intense psychologische countdown uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog. We volgen de personages tijdens de laatste rechte lijn in de aanloop naar 6 juni 1945, de dag waarop de Geallieerden in Normandi\u00eb landden. En het weer speelt een hoofdrol, want het lot van 350.000 levens hangt af van meteorologische omstandigheden op het Kanaal.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"Hoofdtekst\"><span lang=\"NL\">De film focust zich op het intellectuele en nerveuze getouwtrek tussen twee centrale figuren. Aan de ene kant hebben we <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">James Stagg (<\/span><span lang=\"NL\">rol van <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">Andrew Scott),<\/span><span lang=\"NL\">het hoofd van de dienst meteorologie van de <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">Royal Air Force<\/span><span lang=\"NL\">. Hij voorspelt een zware storm die catastrofale gevolgen kan hebben. Aan de andere kant staat Eisenhower (Brendan Fraser dus), de latere president van de Verenigde Staten. Hij moet een cruciale beslissing nemen: houdt hij vast aan de planning, of stelt hij de invasie uit.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"Hoofdtekst\"><span lang=\"NL\">\u00a0<\/span><i><span lang=\"NL\">Pressure<\/span><\/i><span lang=\"NL\"> lijkt zich te spiegelen aan historische drama\u2019s als <i>Darkest Hour<\/i> en meer te mikken op psychologische suspens dan op pure actie. Regisseur van dienst is dan weer Anthony Maras, bekend van <i>Hotel Mumbai<\/i>. Daarin toonde hij al dat hij door heeft hoe je extreme stress en <i>real time<\/i> crisissen in beeld brengt.
