De bewoners worden er door Thaise verzorgers intensief en liefdevol begeleid in de laatste fase van hun leven.<\/p>\n<p>In &#8216;Mother&#8217;\u00a0volgt regisseur Kristof Bilsen de Thaise Pomm, die zich ontfermt over de Zwitserse Elisabeth. Elisabeth en Pomm hebben een nauwe band. Pomm leeft noodgedwongen ver weg van haar drie kinderen om financieel voor hen te kunnen zorgen en dat weegt zwaar op haar gemoed. &#8217;s Nachts vertrouwt ze Elisabeth haar angsten toe. Ondertussen besluit ook een familie in Zwitserland om de zorg voor hun moeder Maya, een jonge vrouw met Alzheimer, over te laten aan Pomm.<\/p>\n<p>We Love Cinema ging in 2019 met de regisseur in gesprek. Het scenario schreef hij samen met Xan M\u00e1rquez Caneda. Coproducenten zijn Marion H\u00e4nsel voor Man\u2019s Film Productions, Olivia Sophie van Leeuwen voor het Nederlandse Halal Docs, RTBF, VRT-Canvas en EOdocs, in samenwerking met Radio-T\u00e9l\u00e9vision Suisse (RTS). Associate producer is Steven Dhoedt en executive producer is Kirsten Johnson.
