Aan de ene kant het fenomenale succes van<\/strong> <strong><em>Top Gun: Maverick<\/em><\/strong><strong> e<\/strong><strong>n aan de andere kant de status van<\/strong> <strong><em>Days of Thunder<\/em><\/strong><strong> (<\/strong><strong>f<\/strong><strong>oto) <\/strong><strong>als cultfilm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Het hoeft niemand te verbazen dat Tom Cruise van sequels houdt. Zijn <em>Mission: Impossible<\/em>-franchise telt intussen al 7 films, en in mei volgend jaar komt deel 8 in de bioscoop. En nu denkt hij dus na om nog twee vervolgen op zijn palmares te zetten. Dat is toch wat een hoge piet bij Hollywoodstudio Paramount verklapt heeft aan het vaktijdschrift <em>Hollywood Reporter<\/em>: \u00ab<em>Tom praat momenteel inderdaad met Paramount over een derde <\/em>Top Gun<em> en over een vervolg op <\/em>Days of Thunder<em>. Maar alles hangt af van het concept en finaal van het scenario.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Cruise heeft in elk geval het voorstel van Paramount geweigerd om het racedrama <em>Days of Thunder<\/em> om te bouwen tot een tv-serie, net omdat hij een eventuele sequel in de cinema wil zien. We weten uiteraard nog absoluut of Nicole Kidman, die Cruise ontmoet heeft tijdens de opnames van de originele film, ook opnieuw van de partij zou zijn.<\/p>\n<p>Voor <em>Top Gun 3<\/em> zou het de bedoeling zijn om weer de handen in elkaar te slaan met Joseph Kosinski, die ook al <em>Top Gun: Maverick<\/em> geregisseerd heeft.
