De Belgische actrice Saar Rogiers heeft de prijs voor Beste Actrice gewonnen op het 11de<\/sup> Bosphorus Film Festival in Istanbul. Deze award – voor haar hoofdrol in Zeevonk<\/em> – nam ze zaterdag persoonlijk in ontvangst.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Het Bosphorus Film Festival, dat jaarlijks plaatsvindt aan de oevers van de Bosporus in Istanbul, staat bekend om het ontdekken van opkomend talent in zowel nationale als wereldwijde cinema.<\/p>\n

De jonge Saar die de hoofdrol speelt in de speelfilm Zeevonk<\/em> veroverde de harten van zowel critici als publiek. De film, geregisseerd door Domien Huyghe, vertelt het verhaal van Lena wiens leven overhoop wordt gegooid wanneer haar vader samen met twee andere vissers sterft op zee. In de wandelgangen wordt gefluisterd dat haar vader het ongeluk heeft veroorzaakt. <\/i>Lena is echter overtuigd dat dit het werk is van een mysterieus zeewezen en gaat tot het uiterste om het bestaan van het beest en de onschuld van haar vader te bewijzen.<\/p>\n

Zeevonk<\/em> kwam eerder deze week uit in Frankrijk en kreeg een goede recensie in Lib\u00e9ration. De film kaaptte eerder al prijzen weg op de internationale filmfestivals van Berlijk (Special mention Generation), van Malm\u00f6 (Zweden, EFCFA prijs) en Kyiv (Oekra\u00efne, Special Jury Diploma).<\/p>\n

Naast Saar Rogiers zijn in Zeevonk<\/em> ook Hilde De Baerdemaeker, Valentijn Dhaenens, Sverre Rous en Thibaud Dooms te zien.
