The<\/span> Last<\/span> Front<\/span><\/em>, het pakkende speelfilmdebuut van Julien Hayet-Kerknawi, lanceert vandaag de offici\u00eble trailer. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Het oorlogsdrama vertelt het verhaal van Leonard, die een kleine, vreedzame gemeenschap inspireert om haar krachten te bundelen tegenover een onverbiddelijke vijand ten tijde van de Eerste Wereldoorlog. In deze nieuwe Belgische film zijn de hoofdrollen weggelegd voor Iain Glen, Sasha Luss en Koen De Bouw. The<\/span> Last<\/span> Front<\/span> is vanaf 7 februari in de Belgische zalen te zien.<\/p>\n

The<\/span> Last<\/span> Front<\/span> <\/em>is de langspeeldebuutfilm van Gentse regisseur Julien Hayet-Kerknawi<\/strong>. Met de kortfilm A Broken Man <\/em>(2015) kreeg hij de Remi Award voor Best Historical Short Film op het WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival en werd hij geselecteerd voor de Short Film Corner op het Cannes Film Festival. The<\/span> Last<\/span> Front<\/span> <\/em>bouwt verder op deze kortfilm. Het is een Belgische film met een internationale cast en crew. De opnames vonden plaats in Kortrijk, Lier, Kluisbergen en Damme.<\/p>\n

Over The<\/span> Last<\/span> Front<\/span><\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n

The<\/span> Last<\/span> Front<\/span><\/em> neemt ons mee naar de zomer van 1914, waar de Eerste Wereldoorlog een Belgisch dorpje op zijn kop zet. Boer Leonard Lambert leidt een groep dorpsgenoten tijdens een adembenemende vlucht naar veiligheid, waarbij ze op de hielen worden gezeten door de meedogenloze Duitse luitenant Laurentz. In dit meeslepende kat-en-muisspel vervagen de grenzen tussen held en schurk, terwijl de menselijke veerkracht op een treffende wijze naar voren komt.<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong><\/u>
\nIn zijn regiedebuut weet Julien Hayet-Kerknawi een film neer te zetten met een indrukwekkende cast. Naast Iain Glen en Sasha Luss schitteren Koen De Bouw<\/strong>, Joe Anderson, Joren Seldeslachts<\/strong>, Julian Kostov in de film. Emma Moortgat<\/strong>, David Calder, James Downie, Emma Dupont<\/strong>, Steve Armand<\/strong> en Mathijs F. Scheepers<\/strong> verrijken de cast verder.<\/p>\n

The<\/span> Last<\/span> Front<\/span><\/strong> is een onafhankelijke Belgische productie gesteund door de steden Lier, Kluisbergen en Kortrijk.
