Met zijn vorige film\u00a0<em>Lucifer<\/em>\u00a0won hij in 2014 op hetzelfde festival de Grote Prijs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>The Magnet Man<\/em>\u00a0gaat over Lucien, een menselijke magneet. Alles van ijzer kleeft aan hem. Zijn huis, een kleine boerderij in het regenachtige Belgi\u00eb rond 1918, is echter geen plaats voor een kunstenaar. Als hij op een dag vast komt te zitten in een trein, sluit Lucien zich aan bij een klein circus dat door Frankrijk reist. Daar ontmoet hij Gervaise, de mooie dochter van de circusdirecteur. Samen dromen ze ervan om artiest te worden en verliefd te worden. Maar een roep uit zijn verleden lijkt luider dan de passie van zijn liefde en dromen.<\/p>\n<p>De hoofdrol in\u00a0<em>The Magnet Man<\/em>\u00a0is voor circusartiest en acteur <strong>Danny Ronaldo<\/strong>, met belangrijke bijrollen voor <strong>Mieke Dobbels<\/strong> en <strong>Bruno Vanden Broecke<\/strong>. De regie en het scenario zijn van de hand van<strong> Gust Van den Berghe<\/strong>. Producent is <strong>Tomas Leyers<\/strong> voor <strong>Minds Meet<\/strong>, in coproductie met het Nederlandse Lemming Film, het Luxemburgse Les Films Fauves en het in Parijs gevestigde Coproduction Office dat ook de internationale rechten van de film vertegenwoordigt.<\/p>\n<p>Wij waren erbij toen de film vertoond werd onder het concept<em><strong> Cinema Malfait<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Welkom bij Cinema Malfait!\" width=\"618\" height=\"348\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oVdZzDSRYz8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Het Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival is het belangrijkste internationale filmfestival in de Baltische staten en een van de belangrijkste afspraken voor de internationale filmindustrie in Noord-Europa.
