Van 11 tem 23 april bezet het Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival opnieuw Paleis 10 (Brussels Expo). Het volledige programma van deze 41ste editie wordt op 23 maart 2023 om 12u uit de doeken gedaan. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Het tipje van de sluier wordt alvast opgelicht met enkele belangrijke data:<\/p>\n

Woensdag 12 april 2023: \u201cBorn After ARMAGEDDON<\/u>\u201d<\/strong>
\nDe gratis filmdag voor jongeren tussen 16 en 25 jaar (ofte: geboren na re-release van Armageddon in 1998), op vertoon van hun ID-kaart.
\nZaterdag 15 april 2023: \u201cThe Fantastic Night<\/u>\u201d<\/strong>
\nVier fantastische midnight-movies van zonsondergang tot zonsopgang, inclusief ontbijt achteraf.
\nZondag 16 april 2023: \u201cMake-up Contest<\/u>\u201d<\/strong>
\nDe 40ste editie van de wedstrijd voor professionele en amateur make-upartiesten, onderverdeeld in twee categorie\u00ebn: met en zonder prothesen & accessoires.
\nMaandag 17 april 2023: \u201cBloody Date Night<\/u>\u201d <\/strong>
\nNa een hete eerste keer vorig jaar: date night <\/em>is terug met twee date films op z\u2019n BIFFF\u2019s, met pikante animaties.
\nZaterdag 22 april 2023: \u201cVampierenbal<\/u>\u201d<\/strong>
\nHet beroemde bal dat alle schepsels van de nacht naar de dansvloer haalt, van middernacht tot in de vroege uurtjes. Verkleden is verplicht!<\/p>\n

Wie anders dan Philippe Foerster<\/strong> kon zo\u2019n geschifte schipper uit z\u2019n potlood schudden voor de poster van het 41ste BIFFF? Het stond in de sterren van de kunstkosmos geschreven dat het BIFFF vroeg of laat het pad van dit genie van het absurde en macabere zou kruisen.<\/p>\n

En w\u00e1t een pad! Na zijn studies op Saint-Luc en zijn eerste wapenfeiten bij KUIFJE verschijnt Foerster al snel op de radar van Marcel Gotlib, die hem inlijft om zijn waanzinnige hersenkronkels uit te tekenen in FLUIDE GLACIAL. Ook de serie STARBUCK, het ongelooflijke L\u2019APPEL DU FOSSOYEUR, de SILEX FILES of nog HOUTEN HOOFD hebben we aan hem te danken. Hij is fan van Jean Ray, Bradbury, Matheson en vintage Amerikaanse fantastische films.<\/p>\n

Een van z\u2019n creaties werd in 2015 verfilmd door een zekere Sacha Feiner (een getalenteerd beestje die het BIFFF maar al te goed kent, en vice-versa). Het gaat om DERNIERE PORTE AU SUD, Zilveren M\u00e9li\u00e8s op het BIFFF en Magritte voor Beste Kortfilm. Een match made in hell<\/em> dus, zeker gezien de leuze van de man \u2013 \u201chet is eenvoudig, alles is ingewikkeld<\/em>\u201d \u2013 het BIFFF als gegoten zit. Het festival heeft zijn alter ego gevonden!<\/p>\n

Over BIFFF<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Voor de fans van science-fiction, thriller, fantastische films en alles daartussen is het BIFFF al lang geen geheim meer. Het Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival is op (inter)nationaal vlak al meerdere decennia de referentie in de genrefilmwereld. Sinds zijn ontstaan in 1983 gingen er al zo\u2019n kleine 2 miljoen filmtickets over de toonbank, met jaarlijks rond de 55.000 trouwe bezoekers. Naast een filmfestival is het BIFFF vooral een beleving binnen en buiten de filmzaal. Animaties, make up-, kunst- en bodypaintwedstrijden, fantastische tentoonstellingen, de ZomBIFFF\u2019 Run, het Vampierenbal, de Rafting op het publiek, \u2026 alle facetten van de fantastiek komen aan bod op het festival. Wie het BIFFF durft te betreden, is gedoemd elk jaar terug te keren!<\/em><\/p>\n
