Het VAF zet mee zijn schouders onder Europees solidariteitsfonds voor Oekra\u00efense films.<\/strong><\/p>\n

De EFAD, de filmagentschappen en de ministeries van Cultuur van 13 landen, waaronder het Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds,<\/strong> lanceerden vandaag tijdens de 73e editie van de Berlinale het Europees solidariteitsfonds voor Oekra\u00efense films. Deze unieke solidariteitsactie heeft tot doel Oekra\u00efense filmmakers te helpen en tegelijkertijd coproducties te bevorderen.<\/p>\n

Voor deze steunregeling wordt een comit\u00e9 samengesteld met een vertegenwoordiger van elke deelnemend ministerie\/fonds en de maatregel wordt beheerd door het CNC. De steun is gericht op de financiering van Oekra\u00efense cinematografische werken in de ontwikkelings- en afwerkingsfase. Er is een budget van \u00e9\u00e9n miljoen euro beschikbaar om projecten te steunen die door een jury van vijf onafhankelijke deskundigen worden geselecteerd, via twee oproepen voor projecten die in 2023 van start gaan. De eerste oproep staat vanaf nu open. Aanvragen kunnen tot 17 maart bij het CNC worden ingediend. De resultaten van deze eerste selectieronde worden bekendgemaakt tijdens het festival van Cannes in mei.<\/p>\n

We zijn het CNC dankbaar dat ze dit project hebben ge\u00efnitieerd en ook verder zullen co\u00f6rdineren, ondersteund en gepromoot door onze vereniging.” verklaarde Luis Chaby Vaz, voorzitter van de EFAD.<\/p>\n

\u201cHet afgelopen jaar heeft Vlaanderen zijn solidariteit met Oekra\u00efne via opvang van vluchtelingen en steun voor kritische infrastructuur bewezen. Cultuur is ook in tijden van oorlog van levensbelang en daarom ondersteun ik graag samen met het Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds dit bijzondere initiatief van 13 landen om de creatieve filmgemeenschap van Oekra\u00efne de nodige veerkracht en middelen te geven om door te gaan\u201d, aldus Minister-president en Vlaams minister van Cultuur Jan Jambon.<\/p>\n
