Dit was niet de eerste\u00a0samenwerking\u00a0tussen\u00a0van den Berghe en Beeckmans. Ze stonden samen ook al op de set van <em>Rosie &amp;\u00a0Moussa\u00a0<\/em>(2018), waar Ruth de mama van Rosie speelde. De film won in 2018 de <strong>Ensor voor Beste Jeugdfilm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Ruth kennen we vooral van humoristische rollen, maar hier zien we haar in een ander jasje. Bungu\u00e9 toonde eerder al dat hij een getalenteerd acteur is in <em>Berlin, Alexanderplatz<\/em> (2020) en <strong>Cronenberg<\/strong>s <em>Crimes of The Future<\/em> (2022).\u00a0Verder worden zij ondersteund door o.a.\u00a0<strong>Anemone Valcke<\/strong><strong>, Lies Visschedijk <\/strong>en<strong> Sebastien Dewaele.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Doroth\u00e9e van den Berghe maakte eerder o.a. de langspeelfilms\u00a0<em>Meisje<\/em> (2002) en <em>My Queen Karo<\/em> (2009). <strong>\u00a0<\/strong><em>Aller\/Retour<\/em> werd, net zoals <em>Rosie &amp; Moussa<\/em>, geschreven door\u00a0<strong>Michael De Cock.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>De film is een coproductie van <strong>CAVIAR<\/strong> met VRT, met de steun van het VAF, KVS, het MEDIA-programma van de Europese Commissie en Tax Shelter. Tijdens een tussenstop in Parijs schrikt ze zich een hoedje wanneer ze ontdekt dat een man zich verschuilt in haar vrachtwagen: de Afrikaanse Idy wilde meeliften over de grens. Door de bemoeizucht van een derde partij escaleert de situatie en krijgt Idy rake klappen. Erika kan niet anders dan hem terug mee aan boord nemen om zijn leven te redden.
