Maar door corona konden de voorstellingen niet doorgaan.\u00a0<strong>KVS<\/strong> en <strong>Canvas<\/strong> sloegen de handen in elkaar en maakten er een filmversie van. Filmregisseur <strong>Jaco Van Dormael<\/strong>, bekend van<em>\u00a0Toto le H\u00e9ro<\/em>,<em> Le Huiti\u00e8me Jour, Mr. Nobody\u00a0<\/em>en <em>Le Tout Nouveau Testament<\/em> nam de uitdaging aan en maakte er een prachtige film van met <strong>Maaike Neuville<\/strong> en <strong>Koen De Sutter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-243818 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cinevox.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/03\/2531e94ed3ee21ccbbcfb51cfe721dee-183x270.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"153\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/welovecinema.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/03\/2531e94ed3ee21ccbbcfb51cfe721dee-183x270.png 183w, https:\/\/welovecinema.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/03\/2531e94ed3ee21ccbbcfb51cfe721dee-407x600.png 407w, https:\/\/welovecinema.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/03\/2531e94ed3ee21ccbbcfb51cfe721dee.png 625w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 153px) 100vw, 153px\" \/>Emma Rouault trouwt met dokter Charles Bovary en koestert de hoogste verwachtingen. Maar al snel begint haar saaie leven even hard te knellen als haar korset. Ze leest massa\u2019s boeken om te ontsnappen aan de banale realiteit. Het is haar allemaal niet spannend genoeg, haar echtgenoot blijkt haar verwachtingen niet te vervullen.\u00a0Ze begint te zoeken naar meer, naar minnaars, naar extra kicks. Ze leeft boven haar stand en ze geeft meer uit dan ze heeft om aan het provinciale leven te ontsnappen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Je kan <em>Bovary<\/em> nog tot 30\/04 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vrt.be\/vrtnu\/a-z\/bovary\/\">gratis\u00a0bekijken<\/a>.
