Dat maakte het festival zonet bekend. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Un Certain Regard<\/strong> is het onderdeel van de offici\u00eble selectie dat gedurfde films en jong talent in de schijnwerpers plaatst. \u00a0<em>Un Monde<\/em> is een 100% Belgische productie, met als hoofdproducent <strong>Dragons Films<\/strong> en coproducent het Gentse productiehuis <strong>Lunanime<\/strong>, met steun van FWB en VAF.\u00a0Regisseur <strong>Laura Wandel<\/strong> is trouwens geen onbekende in Cannes, haar kortfilm <em>Les corps \u00e9trangers<\/em> zat in de offici\u00eble selectie van Cannes in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Het jong talent <strong>Maya Vanderbeque<\/strong> vertolkt de rol van Nora, <strong>G\u00fcnter Duret<\/strong> neemt de rol van Nora&#8217;s broer Abel op zich. Daarnaast zijn er ook belangrijke rollen voor <strong>Karim Leklou<\/strong> (Nora en Abels vader) en <strong>Laura Verlinden<\/strong>. <em>Un Monde<\/em> is een productie van Dragons Films, in coproductie met Lunanime.<\/p>\n<p>Laura Wandel is uitermate opgetogen met deze uitnodiging om naar Cannes te gaan : &#8220;<em>Met deze film wilde ik de kracht en veerkracht van kinderen laten zien door de kijker mee te nemen naar de prille schooltijd, de eerste confrontaties met anderen en het universele gevoel van kwetsbaarheid en de behoefte aan erkenning. Ik ben erg blij en vereerd dat ik door het Festival van Cannes ben uitgenodigd voor Un Certain Regard.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Synopsis<\/strong><br \/>\nWanneer Nora naar het eerste leerjaar gaat, ziet ze dat haar grote broer Abel op de speelplaats wordt lastiggevallen. Terwijl haar vader wil dat ze spreekt, wil haar broer dat ze zwijgt.\u00a0Nora hoopt vooral nieuwe vrienden te maken, waardoor ze voor een verscheurende keuze staat.\u00a0Een meeslepende duik in het\u00a0niet zo onschuldige leven op school.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vlaamse inbreng\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nNaast een Vlaamse coproducent en steun van het Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds (VAF), rekent <em>Un Monde<\/em> ook op de Vlaamse actrice Laura Verlinden (<em>Happy End<\/em>, <em>Le tout nouveau testament)<\/em>, Chef Kostuum (<strong>Vanessa Evrard<\/strong>) en de kleedsters, twee electriciens en de Chef D\u00e9cor (<strong>Philippe Bertin<\/strong>). Lumi\u00e8re Invest haalde Tax Shelter op voor de film.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biografie Laura Wandel\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nNa haar studies filmmaken aan het IAD (Instituut voor Mediakunsten, Belgi\u00eb), reisde Laura Wandel met haar afstudeerfilm <em>Murs<\/em> (2007) de wereld rond op verschillende filmfestivals. Daarna regisseerde ze <em>O N\u00e9gatif<\/em> (2011) en vervolgens<em> Les corps \u00e9trangers<\/em> (2014).<em> Un Monde<\/em> is haar eerste langspeelfilm.<\/p>\n<p>De film kwam tot stand met steun van Centre du Cin\u00e9ma et de l&#8217;Audiovisuel de la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Wallonie-Bruxelles, het Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds (VAF), Wallimage, VOO &amp; BeTV, Lumi\u00e8re Invest &amp; Tax Shelter van de Belgische Overheid.
