De serie ging bij ons in premi\u00e8re op Film Fest Gent, in aanwezigheid van de hele cast en tevreden producent Peter Bouckaert.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Red Light<\/em>\u00a0staat nu ongeveer twee maand op Streamz en is op die tijd de best bekeken serie sinds de start van het streamingplatform in september. <em>Red Light<\/em> sleepte reeds voor de Belgische premi\u00e8re op Film Fest Gent al meerdere prijzen in de wacht. Zo wonnen regisseurs <strong>Wouter Bouvijn<\/strong> &amp; <strong>Anke Blond\u00e9<\/strong> en actrice <strong>Halina Reijn<\/strong>\u00a0al Gouden Kalveren op het Nederlands Film Festival en werd de serie ook gelauwerd met twee prijzen in Cannes. Daar ontving de ploeg de Special Performance Award voor het acteerwerk van hoofdrolspelers <strong>Carice van Houten<\/strong>, <strong>Maaike Neuville<\/strong>, <strong>Halina Reijn<\/strong> en <strong>Geert Van Rampelberg<\/strong> alsook de Prijs van de Studentenjury.<\/p>\n<p><em>Red light<\/em> is een productie van\u00a0Eyeworks Film &amp; TV Drama\u00a0en Hollands Licht, in\u00a0coproductie met VTM\u00a0en BNNVARA,\u00a0in samenwerking met Man Up Film. Samen met <strong>Gunter Schmid<\/strong>, produceerde\u00a0<strong>Peter Bouckaert <\/strong>het aan Vlaamse kant.<\/p>\n<\/header>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Peter bouckaert over Red Light en 1985!\" width=\"618\" height=\"348\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Z5cSWIr4oa8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<section class=\"story__content\">In <em>Red Light<\/em> spelen\u00a0<strong>Carice van Houten<\/strong>\u00a0(<em>Game of Thrones<\/em>), <strong>Halina Reijn\u00a0<\/strong>(<em>Instinct<\/em>) en\u00a0<strong>Maaike Neuville<\/strong>\u00a0(<em>De Twaalf<\/em>)\u00a0drie vrouwen met heel verschillende achtergronden wiens levens vervlochten geraken.\u00a0Sylvia is een\u00a0prostituee die in een bordeel werkt met haar vriend en pooier, gespeeld door <strong>Geert Van Rampelberg<\/strong>. Esther is een bekende sopraanzangeres uit een welgesteld milieu en Evi is een gedreven politieagente die een grote zaak probeert te combineren met haar gezinsleven. Ze\u00a0komen\u00a0terecht in de\u00a0gevaarlijke en intrigerende wereld van mensensmokkel,\u00a0prostitutie en uitbuiting in Antwerpen en Amsterdam. Gaandeweg komen de absolute tegenpolen\u00a0erachter hoezeer ze elkaar nodig hebben om hun problemen op te lossen.<\/p>\n<p>De volgende reeks in productie van Eyeworks is\u00a0<em>1985,<\/em> die ook zal\u00a0geregisseerd worden door <strong>Wouter Bouvijn<\/strong><em> (De Twaalf,\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Red<\/span> <span class=\"il\">Light<\/span>)<\/em> en wordt geschreven door <strong>Willem Wallyn<\/strong><em> (All of Us)<\/em>. Daarin\u00a0stappen een jonge vrouw, haar broer en zijn beste vriend in het avontuur van het volwassen leven. Vol goede intenties beginnen ze aan een beloftevolle toekomst, Inge als rechtenstudente aan de VUB, Marc en Franky als rekruten bij de Rijkswacht.
