Door Covid was het onmogelijk om een slotgala te organiseren zoals men dat gewoon is op Filmfestival Oostende. Er werd samen met Canvas gezocht naar een creatieve oplossing die resulteerde in een volledige covid-proof live televisie-uitzending.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/header>\n<section class=\"story__content story__content--with-wells\">In een leeg Kursaal Oostende openden <strong>Wim Opbrouck<\/strong> en <strong>Martha Canga Antonio<\/strong> (aka Martha Da\u2019Ro) de ceremonie, bijgestaan door de Antwerpse band <strong>KRANKk<\/strong>, met een sprankelend \u2018Ostend By Night\u2019. De genomineerden volgenden de show in Hotel Thermae Palace, volledig covid-proof, met <strong>Micha\u00ebl Pas<\/strong> als gastheer. In een mix van live-uitreikingen en beeldhommages werden de winnaars van 22 categorie\u00ebn bekend gemaakt.\u2018<strong>De Patrick<\/strong>\u2019 van Savage Film was de absolute winnaar in de categorie Film. De film van <strong>Tim Mielants <\/strong>wist maar liefst zeven van haar dertien nominaties te verzilveren, met de Ensors voor Beste Film, Beste Regie, Beste Scenario, Beste Acteur (<strong>Kevin Janssens<\/strong>), Beste D.O.P., Beste Kostuum en Beste Art Direction.<\/p>\n<p>Voor Televisie was \u2018<strong>De Twaalf<\/strong>\u2019, de Eyeworks productie van regisseur<strong> Wouter Bouvijn,<\/strong> de grote winnaar.\u00a0 De fictiereeks won ook zeven Ensors: Beste TV-Serie, Beste Regie, Beste Scenario, Beste Montage, Beste Sound Design, Beste Acteur (<strong>Josse De Pauw<\/strong>) en Beste Actrice (<strong>Maaike<\/strong>\u00a0 <strong>Cafmeyer<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>Daarnaast viel ook <strong>Mauro Pawlowski<\/strong> in de prijzen. Hij schreef de Beste Soundtrack voor <strong>\u2018Cleo\u2019<\/strong> van Eva Cools. <strong>Maaike Neuville<\/strong> werd bekroond voor haar acteerwerk in \u2018All Of Us\u2019 van Willem Wallyn. <strong>\u2018Mother\u2019<\/strong> van Kristof Bilsen en \u2018<strong>De Onfatsoenlijken<\/strong>\u2019 van Luc Lemaitre waren de winnaars in de categorie\u00ebn documentaire film en documentaire televisie. De Ensor voor Beste Jeugdfilm ging naar \u2018<strong>De Familie Clau<\/strong>s\u2019 en er was ook voor het eerst een Ensor voor Animatiefilm, die ging naar \u2018<strong>Vos en Haas<\/strong>\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>De afgelopen week werd er tijdens Cinema Canvas vooruitgeblikt naar het Gala van De Ensors. Ook daar werden al enkele winnaars bekend gemaakt. Zo namen <strong>Adil &amp; Bilall <\/strong>de Ensor Albert Bert Prijs voor Internationale Doorbraak in ontvangst, won \u2018<strong>Kom Hier Dat ik U Kus<\/strong><em>\u2019<\/em> de Ensor voor Beste Coproductie en werd revelatie <strong>Anthony Nti<\/strong> bekroond als \u2018Belofte van het Jaar\u2019. Uit een shortlist van negen kortfilms won <strong>\u2018Stephanie\u2019<\/strong> van Leonardo Van Dijl de Ensor voor Beste Kortfilm. In het moeilijk jaar voor de bioscoopsector ging Jan Verheyen lopen met de Box Office Award voor zijn vierde film in de \u2018<strong>F.C. De Kampioenen<\/strong><em>\u2019<\/em>-reeks.
