Het Belgische productiehuis Los Morros, van Adil El Arbi\u00a0en Bilall Fallah, gaat de de langspeelfilm Meskina<\/em> coproduceren in samenwerking met het Nederlands productiehuis NewBe.<\/strong><\/div>\n

De Nederlands – Belgische komedie Meskina<\/em> van Daria Bukvi\u0107<\/strong>\u00a0vertelt het\u00a0eigentijdse verhaal over een dertiger die haar eigen weg probeert te vinden ondanks alle verwachtingen en vanzelfsprekendheden die horen bij het ideaalbeeld van familie, liefde en werk.<\/p>\n

De film gaat over een vrouw die bijna dertig is en nog geen man, kind, duidelijk carri\u00e8repad heeft en wordt daarom bestempeld als \u2018Meskina\u2019, een loser.\u00a0Ze probeert tussen de luidruchtige meningen om haar heen haar eigen stem te horen\u00a0en erachter te komen\u00a0wie ze is, wat ze wil\u00a0en wat haar eigenlijk gelukkig maakt. Maar tijdens haar zoektocht belandt ze in\u00a0hilarische en herkenbare situaties.<\/p>\n

“Het is een ongelofelijke leuke komedie\u00a0die zowel mensen met onze roots als een breed publiek zal\u00a0kunnen\u00a0bekoren. Het is een eer om als producent deel uit te maken van de debuutfilm van Daria Bukvi\u0107 aan de start van\u00a0een mooie filmcarri\u00e8re”, zeggen Adil en Bilall. “We zijn al een aantal jaren aan het werken met NewBe om op die manier Vlaamse en Nederlandse films met elkaar te connecteren, zoals we ook met Patser<\/em> gedaan hebben. Dit is de eerste film die Los Morros produceert met een andere regisseur als kapitein. In de toekomst hopen we nog meer debuutfilms te produceren van auteurs met een persoonlijke visie zoals Daria.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“Omdat we al jaren groot fan zijn van zowel het talent, de visie als\u00a0de smaak van Adil, Bilall en hun manager Ken Lambrechts<\/strong> spreken we al\u00a0langer over verschillende filmprojecten. Dat ze nu Meskina<\/em> hebben\u00a0uitgekozen om zich als co-producent aan te verbinden, maakt ons nog\u00a0voller van vertrouwen in het resultaat van de film”, aldus Jeroen Koopman<\/strong>, Founder NewBe.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

De Cast is grotendeels Nederlands, maar ook de Belgische\u00a0Vincent\u00a0Bani\u0107<\/strong>\u00a0kreeg een belangrijke rol.\u00a0Bani\u0107 werd voor het grote publiek bekend door zijn rol van Mick Zeelenberg in de Anubis<\/em> – films.\u00a0Hij won hiervoor tot tweemaal toe\u00a0de Nederlandse Platina Filmprijs. Hij was ook VJ op Jim in Laid Back<\/em>. Vanaf september 2016 speelt hij Guido II Van den Bossche in de VTM – soap Familie.<\/em><\/p>\n

De opnames van Meskina<\/em> gingen half augustus van start en eindigen eind september.
