De nieuwe data worden binnenkort aangekondigd. Hot Docs heeft ook een uitgebreid industrieluik voor de documentairesector, met screenings, pitches en netwerkmomenten. Dat zal online plaatsvinden.<\/p>\n<p><em>Bile<\/em> van Ira A. Goryainova maakt deel uit van de Markers-sectie van Hot Docs\u00a0voor\u00a0grensverleggende documentaires.\u00a0De film gaat over ziekte, sterfelijkheid en dood.\u00a0<em>Bile<\/em> kijkt naar \u2018waar we van wegkijken\u2019 en is daardoor, schijnbaar contradictorisch, een tedere blik op het leven. <em>Bile<\/em> is een bezwering, een troostend lied, een sjamaan in de gedaante van een film. De ziekte en dood van de moeder van de filmmaakster in post-Sovjet-Rusland geven de beschouwing zijn kern. Precies deze intieme blik laat de kijker toe zichzelf te zien.<\/p>\n<p><em>Bile<\/em> werd gemaakt met de VAF Wildcard die Ira A. Goryainova in 2016 won met haar RITCS-afstudeerproject <em>Die Ruinen von Europa<\/em> en\u00a0ging in wereldpremi\u00e8re tijdens IDFA in november 2019. De productie is van Peter Kr\u00fcger voor Inti Films, met de steun van RITCS School of Arts. Argos vertegenwoordigt de film internationaal.<\/p>\n<p>Naast <em>Bile<\/em> is nog een Vlaamse documentaireproductie geselecteerd voor Hot Docs:\u00a0<em>Bare<\/em> van Aleksandr M. Vinogradov. De film zal in Toronto zijn wereldpremi\u00e8re beleven in de Artscapes-sectie voor prikkelende documentaires over kunst, cultuur en creativiteit.<\/p>\n<p><em>Bare<\/em> volgt de Brusselse choreograaf Thierry Smits en zijn team tijdens de creatie van de dansvoorstelling Anima Ardens, waarin naakte lichamen worden opgevoerd als tegengewicht tegen neoliberale krachten die de vrijheid van onze lichamen beperken. Doorheen de intense periode van audities en repetities komen interne artistieke conflicten en persoonlijke uitdagingen aan de oppervlakte.<\/p>\n<p><em>Bare<\/em> werd geschreven, geregisseerd en geproduceerd door\u00a0Aleksandr M.
