De komende drie weken worden in en rond Antwerpen alle sc\u00e8nes ingeblikt.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Duyster<\/em> gaat over Nora, Bas en Milan. Ze maken voor school een documentaire over Johannes Duyster, de vroegere stadsbeul van Antwerpen. De beul was meedogenloos&#8230; tot zijn eigen dochter werd beschuldigd van hekserij en naar zijn martelkamer moest. Dit verhaal fascineert de drie studenten. Regisseurs Thomas Vanbrabant en Jordi Ostir casten voor\u00a0<em>Duyster<\/em> een combinatie van bekende namen, zoals <strong>Sven De Ridder, Stefaan Degand<\/strong> en <strong>Pascal Baetens<\/strong>, en rising stars, zoals <strong>Maimouna Badjie, Louise Bergez, Charles De Meester<\/strong> en <strong>Tristan Feyten.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>De filmploeg bestaat uit <strong>Pieter Verlaak<\/strong> (assistent-regisseur), <strong>Michiel Later<\/strong> (DOP), <strong>Eneas Mentzel<\/strong> (geluid), <strong>Samuel Vansteenkiste<\/strong> (gaffer), <strong>Bob Colaers<\/strong> (line producer), <strong>Saskia Verreyken<\/strong> (SFX en make-up), <strong>Margerita<\/strong> <strong>Sanders<\/strong> (kostuums) en <strong>Birch Productions<\/strong> (art direction).<\/p>\n<p>Voor\u00a0<em>Duyster\u00a0<\/em>konden de regisseurs rekenen op steun van <strong>stad Antwerpen<\/strong> en <strong>Fameus<\/strong>. Ze geloven in de talentontwikkeling die dit project cre\u00ebert. Toch wordt\u00a0<em>Duyster\u00a0<\/em>gemaakt zonder steun van het Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds (VAF). Via een <a href=\"https:\/\/nl.ulule.com\/duyster\/\">crowdfunding op Ulule<\/a>\u00a0kon het regisseursduo al na vijf dagen het vooropgestelde bedrag van 5000\u20ac ophalen &#8211; een teken dat er interesse is in de film.
