Die begon ze al op zeventiende haar in de film &#8216;Portrait d\u2019une jeune fille de la fin des ann\u00e9es 60 \u00e0 Bruxelles&#8217; van <strong>Chantal Akerman<\/strong>,\u00a0en zette ze vervolgens verder met vertolkingen in onder andere in &#8216;La Chambre des Officiers&#8217;, &#8216;Les Destin\u00e9es Sentimentales&#8217; en &#8216;J&#8217;aurais Voulu \u00eatre un Danseur&#8217;.\u00a0Een beetje opzoekingswerk leert ons dat Circ\u00e9 de dochter is van de experimentele filmmaker\u00a0<strong>Roland Lethem<\/strong>\u00a0en de vaste casting-agente van Jaco Van Dormael,\u00a0<strong>Gerda Diddens<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Maar nu wordt dus ook haar talent internationaal erkend, en wel in het Ierse Kilkenny. Daar komen prestigieuze casting directors \u00e9n wereldwijd talent drie dagen lang bij elkaar tijdens\u00a0het Subtitle European Filmfest, met belangrijke samenwerkingen als resultaat. In het verleden werden <strong>Lynn van Royen, Koen de Bouw, Ella June Henrard, Matteo Simoni<\/strong> en<strong> Johan Heldenbergh<\/strong> al ontvangen op het Subtitle Festival.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Circe\u0301 Lethem wint Angela Award\" width=\"618\" height=\"348\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vLdp3K9Jdj8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Retrospekt, de film waarvoor ze de award kreeg, is een psychologisch drama geschreven en geregisseerd door de Nederlandse <strong>Esther Rots<\/strong>.\u00a0 Lethem speelt de\u00a037-jarige Mette, een pati\u00ebnt in een revalidatiecentrum.\u00a0Hoewel ze gedeeltelijk verlamd is en haar spraakvermogen deels verstoord, is haar scherpe geest ongeschonden.
