Drie keer viel hij in de prijzen. In het Canadese Vaughan kaapte hij zelfs de hoofdprijs mee. Kortom, een mooi en indrukwekkend parcours.<\/strong><\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"gmail_quote\">\n<div>Steffen Geypens is geen beginneling meer. Het is intussen 15 jaar geleden dat hij de eerste keer met een film in Leuven\u00a0terechtkwam. \u00a0Met zijn vorige, <em>&#8216;Hold Back&#8217;<\/em>, deed\u00a0hij ook al festivals aan over de hele wereld. \u00a0&#8216;Silent Campine&#8217; is een historische prent die zich afspeelt in het begin van de 20ste eeuw, kort na WOI. \u00a0Je voelt de referenties naar de spaghetti-westerns van Sergio Leone. De film vertelt het verhaal van een\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">getroebleerde vader-zoon en is gesitueerd in het\u00a0<\/span>Vlaanderen van kort na WOI. Een getraumatiseerde oorlogsveteraan en z&#8217;n volgzame zoon gaan iedere dag jagen om te overleven, terwijl de doodzieke moeder alleen thuis blijft.
