Een prijs voor Britt Raes<\/strong> en haar ‘Catherine’<\/em> op het Jeugdfilmfestival en Ketnet heeft ook ook goed nieuws voor ‘Cloudboy’<\/em> van Meikeminne Clinckspoor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Deze namiddag werd de 29ste editie van het Jeugdfilmfestival afgesloten met een prima bezoekerscijfer van meer dan 13.000 jeugdige en oudere filmliefhebbers, die tijdens de krokusvakantie het festival bezochten. JEFF, de filmmicroob, besmette maar liefst acht locaties dit jaar in Antwerpen, Brugge, Kortrijk en Gent. De bezoekers konden aan 24 masterclasses en workshops deelnemen en experimenteerden naar hartenlust in de verschillende medialabs. Er stonden 24 premi\u00e8res, 144 screenings van 86 films op het programma. 20 films uit deze selectie maakten kans op 6 awards! Deze werden zondagmiddag uitgereikt. Ketnet kiest ook elk jaar enkele festivalfilms die later op televisie vertoond zullen worden. Dit jaar krijgen ‘Storm: letters van Vuur’<\/em> (een Nederlandse film met Peter Van den Begin<\/strong> en Laura Verlinden<\/strong>), ‘Cloudboy’<\/a> (van Meikeminne Clinckspoor met onder meer Geert Van Rampelberg<\/strong>) en ‘Solan & Ludwig : de grote kaasrace’<\/em> het Ketnetlabel.<\/p>\n

Zowel de professionele als de kinderjury kozen ‘Catherine’<\/a> van Britt Raes als beste kortfilm.<\/p>\n

“Catherine is een donkere humoristische animatiefilm die prachtig geregisseerd is en in een korte periode een heel gamma aan emoties aan bod laat komen. Het thema dood wordt als deel van de artistieke visie niet geschuwd, wat ons nog lang na het einde van de film is bijgebleven.” \u00a0Zo luidde het oordeel van de professionele jury. \u00a0Terwijl de kinderjury het volgende zei :\u00a0“De kinderjury vond Catherine een grappig maar ontroerend verhaal. Het kleurgebruik sprong er voor iedereen uit en sloot goed aan bij de verhaallijn, die ze origineel vonden en passend voor alle leeftijden.”\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n
