Brussel\/Fantasporto, 4 maart 2012. ‘Lena’<\/span>, de nieuwe film van regisseur\u00a0Christophe Van Rompaey<\/span>, behaalde afgelopen nacht op het Portugese Fantasporto International Film Festival (20 febr \u2013 4 maart) een Special Mention van de jury en de prijs voor Beste Actrice voor hoofdrolspeelster Emma Levie<\/span>. De film was op Fantasporto geselecteerd voor de Directors\u2019 Week<\/em>.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Voor Emma Levie is het al de tweede internationale acteerprijs sinds de internationale premi\u00e8re van de film op het Toronto International Film Festival eind vorig jaar. Eerder mocht ze de prijs voor Beste Actrice in ontvangst nemen op het Franse Les Arcs Filmfestival. ‘Lena’<\/em>, de eerste film van regisseur Christophe Van Rompaey na het razend succesvolle ‘Aanrijding in Moscou’<\/span><\/em>, werd eerder al uitgenodigd voor festivals zoals o.a. Palm Springs, Ghent en Les Arcs.
\nChristophe van Rompaey reageerde verheugd op het goeie nieuws: \u2018in een klimaat waar het steeds moeilijker wordt voor dit soort films, zijn dit welkome motiveringen om te blijven verder werken.\u2019 Alles draait rond Lena, een mollige 17-jarige, die tot haar verbazing een relatie krijgt met Daan. Verblind door de liefde, komt ze er te laat achter dat haar vriend onbetrouwbaar is.<\/p>\n

‘Lena’ <\/em>is een Nederlands-Belgische coproductie. Vlaamse coproducenten zijn Jean-Claude Van Rijckeghem<\/span> en Dries Phlypo <\/span>voor A Private View (‘Aanrijding in Moscou’, ‘Adem’<\/span><\/em>). In november bracht distributeur BFD de film bij ons uit in de zalen. ‘Lena’ <\/em>werd ondersteund door o.a. het VAF\/Filmfonds.
