Il dirige son usine de parapluies d\u2019une main de fer et s\u2019av\u00e8re aussi d\u00e9sagr\u00e9able et despote avec ses ouvriers qu\u2019avec ses enfants et sa femme, qu\u2019il prend pour une potiche. \u00c0 la suite d\u2019une gr\u00e8ve et d\u2019une s\u00e9questration de son mari, Suzanne se retrouve \u00e0 la direction de l\u2019usine et se r\u00e9v\u00e8le \u00e0 la surprise g\u00e9n\u00e9rale une femme de t\u00eate et d\u2019action.
