Longtemps rest\u00e9 au stade de rumeur, ce western ultra-violent marque le retour de Park Chan-wook au cin\u00e9ma anglophone (apr\u00e8s <em>Stoker<\/em> et la s\u00e9rie <em>The Sympathizer<\/em>).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Profitant d&rsquo;un orage diluvien pour masquer leurs crimes, une bande de brigands terrorise et pille une petite ville de l&rsquo;Ouest. Le sh\u00e9rif et un m\u00e9decin local, unis par une soif de justice sauvage, se lancent \u00e0 leurs trousses dans une traque o\u00f9 la fronti\u00e8re entre le bien et le mal devient inexistante. Voil\u00e0 son histoire&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mais, surtout, le film r\u00e9unit un trio de t\u00eate d\u2019affiche impressionnant: Matthew McConaughey incarne le Sh\u00e9rif Bill Adams, un homme bris\u00e9 cherchant \u00e0 venger le massacre de sa ville; Pedro Pascal joue le Docteur Abraham Weiss, un personnage \u00e9nigmatique et impitoyable qui s&rsquo;allie au sh\u00e9rif; et on verra Austin Butler dans un contre-emploi total, puisqu\u2019il interpr\u00e8te Henry Lee, le leader sadique du gang des bandits. Tout \u00e7a sans oublier Tang Wei, l&rsquo;actrice f\u00e9tiche du r\u00e9alisateur (<em>Decision to Leave<\/em>), qui rejoint \u00e9galement le projet dans le r\u00f4le de Valerie Adams.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bref, l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e 2026 sera celle de la cons\u00e9cration internationale pour Park Chan-wook, qui pr\u00e9sidera \u00e9galement le Jury du 79\u00e8me Festival de Cannes (mai 2026).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Le budget est estim\u00e9 \u00e0 plus de 60 millions de dollars, ce qui en fait l&rsquo;une des productions les plus ambitieuses du cin\u00e9aste.
