Daens<\/em>, le film culte de Stijn Coninx, fait son grand retour au cin\u00e9ma d\u00e8s ce soir plus de 30 ans apr\u00e8s sa sortie originale<\/strong>. V\u00e9ritable monument du cin\u00e9ma belge, le film vient d’\u00eatre restaur\u00e9 par la Cinematek, et sera projet\u00e9 dans de nombreuses salles \u00e0 travers le pays.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Besoin de vous rafraichir la m\u00e9moire? Daens<\/em> nous ram\u00e8ne \u00e0 Alost, \u00e0 la fin du XIXe si\u00e8cle. Le pr\u00eatre Adolf Daens retourne dans sa ville natale, qui est ravag\u00e9e par l’in\u00e9galit\u00e9 sociale, le travail infantile, les bas salaires et les conditions de travail \u00e9pouvantables de l’industrie textile. Pouss\u00e9 par son sens de la justice, Daens choisit de se ranger du c\u00f4t\u00e9 des ouvriers, m\u00eame si cela le met en conflit avec l’\u00c9glise conservatrice, la bourgeoisie ais\u00e9e et m\u00eame son propre \u00e9v\u00eaque. Lorsqu’il d\u00e9nonce les abus lors de ses sermons, il s’attire la col\u00e8re des directeurs d’usine et des autorit\u00e9s eccl\u00e9siastiques. Daens fonde le Parti Populaire Chr\u00e9tien, est \u00e9lu d\u00e9put\u00e9, et inscrit ainsi les droits des gens ordinaires \u00e0 l’ordre du jour, avec des cons\u00e9quences profondes pour la ville, l’\u00c9glise et pour sa propre vocation de pr\u00eatre. Une fresque historique d\u00e9taill\u00e9e sur la lutte pour la justice et les sacrifices n\u00e9cessaires pour l’obtenir.<\/p>\n

Le r\u00f4le titre est interpr\u00e9t\u00e9 par l’excellent com\u00e9dien flamand Jan Decleir, qui re\u00e7ut logiquement \u00e0 l’\u00e9poque le Prix Joseph Plateau pour sa performance, et que l’on a pu voir ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es dans Niet Schieten<\/em>, toujours aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de son vieux complice Stijn Coninx, Wil<\/em>, autre reconstitution historique d’envergure de Tim Wielants, ou encore en d\u00e9cembre dernier dans Les Baronnes<\/em> de Mokhtaria Badaoui et Nabil Ben Yadir, o\u00f9 il reprenait le r\u00f4le de l’irr\u00e9sistible Lucien, qui lui valut un Magritte du Cin\u00e9ma en 2011 pour sa premi\u00e8re apparition dans Les Barons<\/em>.<\/div>\n

Lors de sa sortie en 1992, le film a rencontr\u00e9 un grand succ\u00e8s critique et commercial, et a\u00a0 m\u00eame \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019Oscar du meilleur film en langue \u00e9trang\u00e8re en 1993.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Daens<\/em> sera pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 en avant-premi\u00e8re ce mardi 3 mars \u00e0 18h30 au Cin\u00e9ma Palace \u00e0 Bruxelles, en pr\u00e9sence du r\u00e9alisateur Stijn Coninx, des acteurs Jan Decleir et Antje De Boeck, ainsi que d\u2019autres membres de l\u2019\u00e9quipe du film.
