Surnomm\u00e9 <em>The Smashing Machine<\/em> pour sa puissance \u00e9crasante sur le ring, Kerr est incarn\u00e9 par un Dwayne Johnson m\u00e9connaissable, m\u00e9tamorphos\u00e9 physiquement pour le r\u00f4le et dont la performance a d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 salu\u00e9e par la critique.<\/p>\n<p>Contrairement aux films de sport traditionnels, qui se concentrent sur la gloire et les sc\u00e8nes de combat spectaculaires, Safdie s&rsquo;attache \u00e0 explorer les luttes int\u00e9rieures de son personnage principal. Le film met ainsi en lumi\u00e8re la d\u00e9pendance de Kerr aux analg\u00e9siques, une cons\u00e9quence des coups et des blessures subis, ainsi que sa relation complexe et orageuse avec sa petite amie, Dawn Staples, jou\u00e9e par Emily Blunt.<\/p>\n<p>Et la bande-annonce offre un aper\u00e7u saisissant du ton du film avec une atmosph\u00e8re sombre et quasi-documentaire, fid\u00e8le au style r\u00e9aliste des fr\u00e8res Safdie. La cam\u00e9ra ne se d\u00e9tourne pas de la violence du ring, mais elle s&rsquo;attarde surtout sur le combat que Kerr m\u00e8ne contre lui-m\u00eame, loin des projecteurs.<\/p>\n<p>Dwayne <em>The Rock<\/em> Johnson, connu pour ses r\u00f4les de h\u00e9ros indestructibles, prend ici un risque audacieux en se glissant dans la peau d&rsquo;un personnage aussi complexe et tourment\u00e9.
