Michael Mann, r\u00e9alisateur, sc\u00e9nariste et producteur am\u00e9ricain, recevra le prestigieux <em>Prix Lumi\u00e8re<\/em> en octobre 2025, succ\u00e9dant ainsi \u00e0 Isabelle Huppert (2024), Wim Wenders (2023) et Tim Burton (2022). Cette distinction vient couronner une carri\u00e8re exceptionnelle, marqu\u00e9e par des \u0153uvres d&rsquo;une intensit\u00e9 rare et une influence majeure sur le cin\u00e9ma contemporain.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;annonce, faite par l&rsquo;Institut Lumi\u00e8re, salue un \u00ab\u00a0<em>artiste majeur dont la trace dans le cin\u00e9ma est l\u00e0 pour toujours<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb selon les mots de Thierry Fr\u00e9maux, directeur du festival. Michael Mann, connu pour sa filmographie exigeante et stylis\u00e9e, a en effet su cr\u00e9er un univers singulier o\u00f9 se m\u00ealent action, drame et introspection, souvent ancr\u00e9 dans des personnages solitaires et des r\u00e9cits de confrontation.<\/p>\n<p>D\u00e8s ses d\u00e9buts, Michael Mann s&rsquo;est impos\u00e9 comme un visionnaire. Son premier long-m\u00e9trage, <em>Le Solitaire<\/em> (1981), avec James Caan, posait d\u00e9j\u00e0 les jalons de son style : des ambiances nocturnes, des personnages complexes \u00e9voluant aux marges de la loi, et une esth\u00e9tique visuelle soign\u00e9e. Mais c&rsquo;est avec des films comme <em>Le Dernier des Mohicans<\/em> (1992), fresque \u00e9pique et romantique, et surtout <em>Heat<\/em> (1995, photo), face-\u00e0-face l\u00e9gendaire entre Al Pacino et Robert De Niro, que Mann a acquis une reconnaissance mondiale et une place de choix parmi les grands r\u00e9alisateurs. On pointera aussi <em>R\u00e9v\u00e9lations<\/em> (1999), le biopic <em>Ali<\/em> (2001) avec Will Smith, ou le thriller urbain <em>Collateral<\/em> (2004), qui a red\u00e9fini les codes du genre.
