Jahia vient d\u2019Afrique sub-saharienne, elle vit avec sa m\u00e8re dans un centre d\u2019accueil pour demandeurs d\u2019asile. On suit son quotidien, comme dans un entre-deux, une vie en pause. Le temps de Jahia est celui de l\u2019attente, de la seule chose qui pourra lui donner acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la vie qu\u2019elle d\u00e9sire: des papiers. Mais comment vivre dans l\u2019attente quand on est adolescente, quand seul compte le pr\u00e9sent, l\u2019ici et le maintenant? Jahia est \u00e9teinte, prise dans une torpeur des affects et des sentiments. Quand arrive au centre la solaire Mila, c\u2019est un bouleversement pour elle. Volontaire et espi\u00e8gle, Mila professe l\u2019espoir. <i>\u00ab\u00a0Tu r\u00eaves,\u00a0\u00bb <\/i>lui r\u00e9pond Jahia, quand elle lui dit qu\u2019elle devrait devenir cuisini\u00e8re. <i>\u00ab\u00a0C\u2019est \u00e7a qu\u2019il faut, il faut r\u00eaver,\u00a0\u00bb<\/i> lui r\u00e9torque Mila. Alors peu \u00e0 peu, Jahia va l\u00e2cher prise, s\u2019investir dans ce qui la fait vibrer, s\u2019ouvrir \u00e0 la joie de Mila, l\u2019absorber m\u00eame. C\u2019est une sorte de lune de miel amicale qui se joue au coeur de l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9, toute en sorties au lac et en danses sur Tik Tok. Mais leur insouciance est une profession de foi. Et la foi ne tient qu\u2019\u00e0 un fil, celui de la d\u00e9cision qui changera tout: avoir des papiers ou pas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Avec ce portrait d\u00e9licat, au plus pr\u00e8s des \u00e9motions de Jahia &#8211; soit on la regarde, soit on voit ce qu\u2019elle regarde -, Olivier Meys nous donne \u00e0 ressentir un moment charni\u00e8re dans une vie retenue. La vie de Jahia va changer d\u2019axe quand elle rencontre Mila. Jeune fille en r\u00e9bellion contre un destin qu\u2019elle ne s\u2019est pas choisi, elle va aller chercher profond\u00e9ment en elle les ressources n\u00e9cessaires pour devenir actrice de son avenir. Sans savoir o\u00f9 elle va, elle comprend qu\u2019elle peut choisir comment elle y va. C\u2019est comme une double r\u00e9volution, l\u2019une qu\u2019on lui impose, l\u2019autre qu\u2019elle initie. C\u2019est une histoire d\u2019amiti\u00e9 aussi, et de la fa\u00e7on dont les amiti\u00e9s peuvent nous d\u00e9placer. Avec Mila, Jahia apprend \u00e0 r\u00eaver. Pour incarner ces deux jeunes filles au tournant d\u2019un \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9cisif, Olivier Meys s\u2019est entour\u00e9 de deux jeunes primo-com\u00e9diennes, qui ont elles-m\u00eames connu des probl\u00e9matiques semblables \u00e0 celles de ses h\u00e9ro\u00efnes; un choix payant, tant Noura Bance et Sofiia Malovatska \u00e9pousent avec fluidit\u00e9 la trajectoire de leurs personnages.<\/p>\n<p>Le film est montr\u00e9 ce mardi 24 juin en Comp\u00e9tition Nationale au BRIFF.
