Our mission is to accompany brilliant producers and directors, either emerging or confirmed, into bringing their projects to reality through international sales, development financing, legal or financial consulting.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Launched in May 2019, the company worked on 20+ films, including <em>Bloody Oranges<\/em> by Jean- Christophe Meurisse (Cannes 2021), <em>Medusa<\/em> by Anita Rocha da Silveira (Directors\u2019 Fortnight 2021), <em>Mother Schmuckers<\/em> by Lenny &amp; Harpo Guit (Sundance 2021), <em>Honey Cigar<\/em> by Kamir Ai\u0308nouz (Venice Days 2020), <em>Souad<\/em> by Ayten Amin (Cannes 2020, Berlinale &amp; Tribeca 2021), <em>Los Conductos<\/em> by Camilo Restrepo (Best 2020 Best First Feature) or <em>Atlantis<\/em> by Valentyn Vasyanovych (Venice 2020)&#8230;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Best Frien Forever is looking for two interns:<\/p>\n<div class=\"column\">\n<h4>Best Friend Forever is seeking for a bright, passionate, and organized Sales &amp; Festivals Assistant Intern to join the boutique team. He or she will work closely with the festival manager and the partners on a daily basis.<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Duties includes but are not limited to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Festivals fee negotiation, prospection&amp; reporting<\/li>\n<li>DCP &amp; Material delivery to festivals<\/li>\n<li>Organization and follow-up of talent travels<\/li>\n<li>Creation of the newsletters and participation to the marketing (line-up, posters, trailer&#8230;)<\/li>\n<li>Update of the website and other communication elements<\/li>\n<li>Assistance to the sales process closely with partners (links, follow-up&#8230;)<\/li>\n<li>Participation to the acquisitions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications for the role<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong Academic curriculum<\/li>\n<li>Strong cinephilia &amp; interest to work in the cinema industry<\/li>\n<li>Fluent English written\/spoken absolutely necessary, Dutch\/Flemish a real plus, French a plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Candidates must be strong cinephiles. They need to be able to prioritize and respond quickly, manage their time effectively, and possess strong, independent judgement. A pro-active problem solver with positive &amp; friendly attitude. He or she will work closely with the partners on a daily basis, attend commercial meetings (with producers, distributors, exhibitors), and will be closely involved with the management of the company.<\/h4>\n<p>This position offers a real immersion in the international sales activity and will give overview &amp; understanding of the movie industry (financing, production, distribution and exhibition of Belgian and foreign films).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties includes but are not limited to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Follow-up of sales (follow-up of invoicing and collections, follow-up of the rights &amp; territories availabilities, etc.) ;<\/li>\n<li>Financial Follow-up of the films exploitation (royalties, statements, etc.);<\/li>\n<li>Legal follow-up of acquisition mandates;<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of the first versions of sales contracts;<\/li>\n<li>Follow-up of subsidies applications<\/li>\n<li>Follow-up of expenses (market expenses, supplier invoices, etc.);<\/li>\n<li>Administrative tasks (RCA registrations, CNC contributions, withholding taxes, legalization, updating of commercial and financial databases, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications for the role<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong Academic curriculum including law, economy, business and\/or cultural management;<\/li>\n<li>Strong cinephilia &amp; interest to work in the cinema industry<\/li>\n<li>Fluent English written\/spoken absolutely necessary, Dutch\/Flemish a real plus, French a plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Candidates must be strong cinephiles.
